About 59

59 is independently owned and operated in the desert Southwest U.S.A. The "59" buckle was conceived on the lesson tee in 2006 by respected teaching professional Trevor Derrheim. With a keen eye for detail, Derrheim recognized a fashion shift in golf clothing towards micro-fibers and European styling but also a void in accessorizing the movement with stylish, quality belts.

"In my mind, 59 has always been about honoring the integrity of the game and its players by putting out quality products for true golfers. We would rather work really hard to have 10 extremely proud 59 buckle owners than our brand mark on 1000 belts that were mass produced and of lesser quality". Because of this, we do things the hard way, one customer at a time and one buckle at a time.

After 9 months of creative effort and fine tuning, the first 20 buckles went directly into play at Canadian Women's Open in August of 2007. Sixteen players suited up in 59 that week, including Seri Pak and Lorena Ochoa. And 59 was born... on Tour!

Core Belief

At 59, we believe that being great can only be "earned" by doing what others cannot or simply are not willing to do. The dedication and attention we pay to our products, customers and players is not only exceptional, it is expected.
